Digital Library of Georgia is a GALILEO initiative, based at the University of Georgia. GALILEO is Georgia’s statewide electronic library. Digital Library of Georgia connects users to 500,000 digital objects in 90 collections from 60 institutions and 100 government agencies. This video site contains more than 17,000 public state government documents from 1994 to the present, updated daily. Digital Library of Georgia also contains photographs of African Americans from Augusta in the late19th century; and 1,500 architectural and landscape photographs from the 1940s to the 1980s. A valuable collection for students of southern life, politics, law, and culture.
A complete set of Acts and Resolutions from 1799 to 1995 is also included in the Digital Library of Georgia. A set of Southeastern Native American Documents provides approximately 2,000 letters, legal documents, military orders, financial papers, and archaeological images covering the period 1730–1842. Digital Library of Georgia includes about 2,500 political cartoons by Clifford H. Baldy Baldowski.
